1) Use School Purchased Intervention Piece such as Classworks with students 20 minutes a day 3 times a week.

2)  Help students understand the test, data, report and identify what skill they need to be working on first.

3)  Set up "skills centers" for students to go to and focus on the skill they need the most work in.

​

4)  Tell students you will be retesting every 2 weeks.

​

5)  Work in small group with students that need help in the same domain.

​

6)  Work individually with students that are close to quitting, provide support, even if that means sitting by them and helping them sound out words, or provide a dictionary for them to look up word meanings.

​

7)   Don't forget the importance of Goal Setting!
